Why would there be zero's placed in a formula? Such as =(((I133-0)/17.5)*15)+0

I am learing formula's and I can't seem to find out why the zero's have been placed in there.

Perhaps there was a problem with some cells that looked like they
were numbers but were text. One fixup was to select a cell with zero
in it, copy it, and then edit, paste special, add

causing =((I133-0)/17.5)*15
to become =(((I133-0)/17.5)*15)+0

it would be better to choose an empty cell instead and then
edit, paste special, add

Did you write this formula or did someone else? Where did the formula come
from?

If someone else wrote the formula, you'd have to ask them why they put
zeroes in there.
