This is driving me crazy! If I want to "lock" a cell in a
formula so that Excel goes back to that same cell when I
copy the formula how do I do that?

For example,
a b c
1 1 3 4
2 3 4 5
3 2 4 6

If I want to enter the formula =a1*b1 and then copy it so
that all other formulas are =a1*c1, =a1*b2, etc, how do I
anchor that cell value of "A1" so that it doesn't change?

You must make the reference absolute, which means add
dollar signs ($A$1). The quick way is to click on the
reference in the formula bar and keep pressing F4 until
you get $A$1. Then copy the formula.
