Eleanor

I am working with a time sheet, hours are from 6pm to 6am,
I used the fromula =MOD(B1-A1,1), now I am attempting to
add the cells together.

I put the formula in a third cell to total for the day but
now I cannot seem to get the third cells to add together.

HELP!!

Thank You
Eleanor

Hi Eleanor!

You should keep to the same thread rather than start a new one.

Have you tried
=SUM(C1:C10)
Format [hh]:mm

I believe you have received several answers already to your earlier post,
use custom format and format [hh]:mm or else you won't get more
than 24 hours displayed

Did anyone ever solve this?

I have the same problem but the answer you give here does
not work. The hh:mm format in custom will not sum more
than 24 hours so why does anyone seem to think this is
the answer....? Have I missed something here?

Any help appreciated

Hi Charles,
As long as the results are positive (not negative)
format, cells, custom
and enter [h]:mm

Hi Charles!

But format [hh]:mm (note use of [ ] around hh )will allow sum of the
calculation for more than 24 hours to display (eg) 28:30

The only problem with MOD(B1-A1,1) is if the difference between A1 and
B1 is more than 24 hours.
