I have a problem with formulas in Excel XP: they show in formula bar AND in cells (value of formula doesn't show in the cell). I guess it treats formula as text. Tried with different formatting, hiding formula, CTRL + ', but nothing worked. Had a same problem on a PC with office 2003 that I was using only for a short period of time. My PC started doing this today.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not the apostrophe, but the grave accent mark that you need to use in
conjunction with the Ctrl key. It is usually found to the left of the "1"
key.

It's also possible that the cells somehow got formatted as text. In that
case, you'll have to reformat all the affected cells as general or numeric
and then <F2> <Enter> each one or use a macro to get the new format to
"take".

"CTRL + `" doesn't work, and cells are formatted as general. Tried with different formattings, but still the same. Also tried <F2><Enter> after formatting - no change
Thanks for your respons
