Lately I've noticed that when I have simple formula, such
as:

Cell D1 contains: =sum(A1+B1+C1)

If I change the contents in A1, it doesn't reflect the
change in D1(The Total).

If anyone has an answer for me please respond.

Thanks!!!

I always start with the most obvious things. Is calculation set to manual
instead of automatic. You can tell as there will be calculate word in the
status bar. To turn on go to tools/options/calculation and set to automatic
from there.

I can't replicate this behaviour, but a better
way (more economical) is
=SUM(A1:C1) or simply

=A1+B1+C1

Hi Tim,

Please click "Tools", then choose "Options" and then
select "Calculation. Here, just ensure that you have
selected "AUTOMATIC" and not manual !!!

Thanks & regards,

Manish
