Hello. Here is my problem:

In cell G4, I have this formula =+D4*F4.

D4 contains the number 356 and cell F4 gets its number
from this formula =+B4/E4.

G4 does not update if I want to multiply. If I change the
formula in G4 to add, divide, subtract, etc. it updates
fine.

Any ideas?

Thank you - Kele

Hi Kele,
Why do you have a "+" sign in front of D4 and B4?

If I understand you correctly, cells B4 and E4 are data
input cells. Cell D4 is a constant 356.
Just type the formulas
as D4, =B4/E4
as G4, =D4*F4
It works for me as long as E4 is not a "0", because in
this case you can't divid by zero.

Good Luck
Kathy

Kathy,

The + sign is old Lotus notation, not necessary in Excel.
