I don't know if this is even possible, and I hope I can
explain this well. I have a client that is wanting to do
the following. Any advice? He is using Excel 2002.
Column 1 and Row 1 are headings basically. The row
headings are dates (i.e. 10/31/03, 11/20/03, 11/24/03,
11/25/03 and this will continue through 2004 and beyond).
The dates will be added on the fly. It is showing things
that don't happen daily. The column shows different
types. On sheet 2 of this workbook he has the same column
labels but the rows are 2003 totals and 2004 totals and
so on.
What he wants is to add a formula in sheet 2 cell B3, for
example which would display the total values for 2003
only for row 3 on sheet one. This will include several
columns on sheet one some of which will be added later.
Then on B4 it would show 2004 totals and so on. And this
will continue for 55 rows. He tried this formula but it
didn't work:
=SUMIF(Sheet1!H3:ED3,"Sheet1!H1:AP1<12/31/03+Sheet1!")
Any ideas? I hope that made some sense.
