Forms.

I just have a couple of questions about forms.
I just read a post about a form field having different choice name and value
name. The example of the post is using a drop down form field and having the
dropdow options be states. (example: WA, UT, MI) and having the value name
being numbers. It also talked about using a URL as a value instead of a
number. I am thinking this would mean that if a visitor clicked the dropdown
and chose UT and you had the value set to http://www.utah.com then it would
take them out to that URL, maybe in a new window or the current window. Am I
understanding that correct? I actually tried it and it did not work for me so
I am wondering if I am missing something?
Also, I currently have a form on our site that all the collected information
is automatically populating an excel spreadsheet. Is it possible to have more
than one form populate more that one spreadsheet? Now the spreadsheet is
called form_results.csv. Is it as easy as creating a new form with a
different name.csv and pointing the form results to that form?

Thank for your help.

Shane, I don't have an answer for your questions, but when you get a chance
please look at my Post entitled "FrontPage Forms - Saving results in .csv
file...." It appears that you have been successful in writing your output to
a .csv file and importing it into an Excel file. We only have 3 fields of
data we are collecting from our users, Name, Date, and yes or no. We want
that to be written into and Excel file in columns A, B, and C so the names
and/or dates can be sorted. Can you give us any insight into what we might be
missing? We are able to write data to a file, but it's not in the right
format. Our file has a .csv file extension, but we cannot access it. I've
created another file as an optional file with an .htm extension just to test
to make sure we are writing to a file and we are, but since it's in html
format it is not formatted correctly with comma separators. I know you want
to solve your question first, but when you get a chance, I would appreciate
your input. Thanks. Sheila

Hi Shane
Have you checked that your provider allowes frontpage extensions to operate
within a subweb. I am with fasthosts and they don't. I presume the
extensions are needed to write the cvs file, perhaps one of the MVP's might
know.

A subweb could not exist or be used unless the extensions operate in it.
Some hosts do not allow subwebs to have unique permissions.

However, multiple forms can be used within the same web or subweb, each
writing to its own
