I am creating an database with a number of forms that are tied to each other.
The forms seem to be working quite well except that every time I go into a
form from the lead form as it were I create a new record. I want to be able
to just go into the first record without creating additional records every
time. I have tried select case and save options, but nothing seems to work.
Does someone have a solution. Thanks

If you want to go into the first record each time, did you try entering an
autonumber field and set the form to sort ascending?

Hope this helps

Yes, I have tried that and it does not work on a continuous basis. What I am
trying to do is create a database for keeping track of school records. When
I go into a students name and then go into say their medical records, I keep
adding a record to the medical record. Obviously I do not want more than one
record in there. I just want one. NOw the new record is black, but that
means deleting the new record. Then each time I go into their class
individual class schedule I create another class schedule and on it goes.
Every time I go into the record I create a new record.
