Forms wizard access97 'no record found' error message

In windows xp using access 97 I get an error message when
trying to use the forms wizard 'no record found' followed
by a blank error message.
It all works fine when logged on as an administrator but
not as limited user so I figure it's some permissions
thing in the registry, but which keys?
Anybody have any ideas as to which keys or a better
solution.

From your description, it sounds like you are referring to the Windows
Administrator and Windows Users, not Access Administrators or Users. If
this is the case, then it may be that your Window's User does not have
appropriate permissions to run the Forms Wizard, which is contained in the
Wzmain80.mde file.

The default directory for this file is C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office. Check the security permissions to see whether this Windows
User has "Full control" on the directory, this file and the other Wizard
files. If not, give "Full control" permissions to all Windows Users who are
going to be using any of these Wizards on this computer.

You can see a list of all the Access 97 Wizards and the names of the files
that contain them here:

While you're at it, do a search for the Access workgroup information file,
System.MDW, too, and make sure that the Windows user has "Full Control"
permissions on this file. The default directory for this one is
C:\Windows\System32, which Windows System Administrators love to lock users
out of, but all Access users need "Full Control" permissions to this
particular file.
