Forms display with partial color only on laptop

I have designed a database with multiple colored forms that works just fine
on several computers. However on what laptop the forms have virtually no
color being mostly black and white. I can't change the detail background
color (always shows white), or text color (black no matter what color is
selected). However a few of the colors do show up, primarily borders.

I have tried using very basic colors in case it is a display issue and even
designing a form on that particular computer with no luck. The display is
fine in another program such as Word but not in Access.

While the page only mentions VB6, the system colour constants listed in
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/1chc103x.aspx
can be used in Access as well.

In that way, you'll only be using colours that the user has already chosen
that they know work on their system.

Not sure what to do with this information Doug. I can open the form in
design view, select a basic red (255) for the detail of the form or the font
by using the dialog on the problem computer with no effect. I know that
their computer is capable of displaying this color as I can do it in Word,
but not in Access.
