I have an input form and have put a few trial records in. I went back over
to Frontpage and looked in the private folder and do not see anything in
there. What am I misssing???

Thanks,
Barb

Barb,
does the form go to a file or a database? If it's a database there
should be an access database in the fpdb directory.

I am not sure where it goes. How can you tell. I don't know where to look
for the data - there is Nothing in the private folder - I thought years ago
2000(FP) when i did this it automatically send the data from the form to the
private folder. don't know where to see the data. and not sure what you mean
- do I put a blank access database in fp and where - do I need to set up a
table????

thanks,
barb

I'm going to put my comments below for clarity:

***Right click the form in FrontPage and select "form properties". you'll
find it there.

I don't know where to look

*** Right off the bat, if you're looking in the /_private folder in your
local web you're not in the right place. the form input will reside in the
/_private folder of your online web. if you need info on getting that data
let us know and we'll give you detailed instructions.

*** Sometimes, and under certain conditions, frontpage would take the files
from your online web and bring them down to your local folder structure. in
some cases you'd have to force this to happen by publishing from the online
web to your local machine.
