Forms Authentication Issue

Hi

I am using Forms Authentication in my app. I am using asp.net 2.0 and I
need only few pages to be wrapped with the login and other pages are
public.

So the problem is the login feature is working in most of the browsers
and users are able to login. But in few places the login is not working
and the user is thrown the login page again despite of correct login.

Luckily I have one such browser where i can replicate the scenario. It
is not a cookie issues as i checked cookies setting and it is fine. I
am in urgent need of the solution. Any thoughts???
 
Temporarily I can get a work around the reason being the persistent
cookie so I am setting a 24 hr time for the persistent cookie which is
not ideal. This situation occurs only in IE 6.0 and some versions of IE
7.0 and above.

An ideal work around is still required.. Any help is greatly
appreciated
