I am in the process of creating a new database in
Microsoft Access. However when I have it all created in
the Design view, and switch to form view to begin typing
in records I have a few problems. The first one is: I
get everything typed in and it will not save the
information. The second is: After typing in the
information for the first record, I can not get it to go
to a new rocord, the little button at the bottom is not
highlighted and won't let me get to a new one and save
the one I just typed in. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
Thank you in advance.

Is the form based on a table, or a query? If aquery, when you open the
query directly can you enter a new record there?

The form must based based on a table or query (or have code that inserts the
data into a table).

neither. I created the whole thing in the Form, design
view. What else can I do?

That's like building a house and installing the windows first.

A Form does not contain any data, nor does it have any way to store
data. It's just a TOOL, which lets you work with data in your Tables.
Construct the Tables *FIRST* - they are the foundation of the house! -
and then work on Forms to manage those tables.
