does anyone know how to format c drive with xp installed
with no uninstall?help!
 
Hi

If you format the hard disk/partition, you are going to delete everything
from it, so XP will be uninstalled. What exactly do you want to do?
 
If you really want to destroy all data on the drive, you can use the XP
recovery console, run from the XP CDROM, to format the drive. You can also
use it to delete partitions and create new ones.

Alternatively, a DOS floppy with the latest version of FDISK could delete
NTFS partitions, which would be called "non-DOS" partition by FDISK.
