formatting

Currently I receive data in a .txt file and I need to format it using a macro
in Word. The problem is if I copy it straight from the text file into word
the macro does not work right. But if I copy it from the text file into
FrontPage, then copy it into Word it works correctly. FrontPage changes the
format of the text. I am wondering what is FrontPage doing to change the
format of the text?

My ultimate goal is to find a way to eliminate the copying into frontpage
from this process.
 
You should format the .txt in Frontpage not Word, you'll have a mess o'junk
from Word if you do it that way.

I think the op is not a FP user in general, just using FP to get the text into Word.

You would be better off asking directly in a Word Newsgroup about using your Word macro directly into Word

FYI
FP Design view is html and uses your default font so the formatting is automatic
