Formatting trend lines in a graph

I'm looking for a way to format a trend line, from a blue
to a red, (same line) on the same trend line, that will
stay what color (red) you've formatted the line to, while
adding new information. Half of the first couple
sections show a blue line, but because of changes, the
line is now represented as a red line, in a consecutive
order. (So you have one line, that is half blue and half
red) -Which was the easy part, but when I try to add new
data into the trend line, (now the red section) the line
defaults back to it's original blue instead of
continueing with red. -Very frustrating, and can't seem
to find a way to keep it red. Please help

Thanks in Advance,
Michael

This might be a duplicate post. The msnews server seems to be skipping
some posts (but I imagine it might post them later).

What program are you using for the trendline? XL? or Graph?

How did you get different parts of a trendline to be different colors?

How do you add data to a trendline?

I suspect we have a conflict of definition as to what is a trendline.
Care to explain how you created one and customized it?
