Hi all,

You know the warning you can set in GP (computer settings -> windows
settings -> security pols -> or something like that!) well we want to put
our AUP in there but want it to have simple formatting such as carriage
returns.

Any ideas?

One approach would be not to use that GPO setting, and later, in logon
script run a HTML page which displays a warning to the users inside Internet
Explorer. This way you can create quite nice warnings ;-)

Incorporate your AUP by reference. For example, say "Logging into this
system indicates your acceptance of and agreement with the AUP, available
from the help desk, www.aup.com, or by email to (e-mail address removed)."

Although presenting the AUP via IE in a login script allows formatting and
such, it probably doesn't hold up legally because the user does not / cannot
see the AUP before actually logging in -- in essence they have been forced
to agree to something before they knew to what they were agreeing.
