Formatting Telephone Numbers

Is there a way to search and remove the extra (1) that shows up in front of
telephone numbers. Right-clicking to format does not allow you to change
anything at all.
 
Turn off the option to automatically add the country code to local numbers
in Outlook's Dialing options.
