Hey,

Anyone know how to make the rows in a subform have
alternating background colors like in Excel?

Thanks

Cool - I didn't realize you had something specific for alternating bands -

Summer is great - though I wish I was a kid and had three months of vacation
:-)

Hi Sandra, hope you are enjoying your summer!
There is another solution that is better from a performance and ease of
use standpoint here:
http://www.lebans.com/alternatecolordetailsection.htm
AlternateColorDetailSection.zip is a class to allow for alternate bands
of color for Forms in Continuous View.

Hi William,

If you are using A2000 or above, you can do this with Conditional
Formatting. For an example of how to do it check Stephen Leban's website:

Stephen,

I have a slight twist on this thread. I have a set of continuous
forms in which I would like to toggle between three graphics (red,
yellow, and green buttons) based on the contents of the underlying table
using the .visible property.

Will your library handle this, or is there a better way? I'm
thinking there's an event that I can tie into that trips when each new
record is read, but I forget which one it is.

Thanks for the assist!

Conditional Formatting is only for TextBox and Combo controls. CF does
not expose the control's Visible property. You can set the TextBox props
to simulate a Button and apply formatting the desired color formatting
based on the contents of a field within the recordset.
