I have a column of numbers that look like this:

CAN:

0961 Keep in mind when you type 0961 I thought
0960 in order to keep the zero "0" you must change to
0959 a text or make it General
5751
5768
6821

The problem I face now is that I'm trying to link up to
my spreadsheet via Microsoft Access and it's recognizing
the number that begin with zero "0" as text and I'm
receiving a NUM! error on all the other numbers (6821)
etc. What should I do in Excel to make sure all my
numbers are correctly formatted? I tried to change all
numbers to general but when I go to my linked table in
Access I still see the NUM! error on all numbers that
begin with a zero "0".

Hi
try the following:
1. Asign the following custom format to your range
0000

2. To convert your values to numbers try
- select an empty cell
- select your data range
- goto 'Edit - Paste Special' and choose the action 'Add'

now try your import again

Second line of instructions missing for #2 Frank:

"Copy"
