Hello~

I was wondering if it was possible to create and format an
NTFS partition from the command line? I have created an
custom unattended install diskette with an answer file,
but I need to create more than one partition. I cannot
simply use the unattended install scripting features
because as far as I can tell, this always uses the full
drive. Is there any way to create a user-defined size
NTFS partition from booting off of a DOS floppy? It is
fine if I need to destroy the current partition table.

Thanks,

Are you installing XP or 2000? Are there capabilities in the XP setup that
aren't in 2000, or are they both equally limited?

There is at least one NTFS driver for DOS, available from Sysinternals.
It's not cheap. You can use FDISK to partition the disk however you want,
then format the existing partitions with the Windows Setup format tool.
