Why when trying to format a HD, having followed all the
steps with FDISK, deleting the DODS partittion, creating
a new one , setting as active, rebboting the computer and
trying to FORMAT C: I get a message saying : BAD COMMAND
OR FILE NAME?
What did I miss ?
Thanks!

booting onto?

FDISK is not a valid command on an NTFS formatted HD. Boot from XP CD (see
system manual) and follow prompts.

If you are trying to install Windows XP, you can just format using the CDROM
during the installation process as well. Might be easier.
