Formatting Double Density Floppies

I use Windows xp Home edition and it only shows 1.44 for
formatting floppies. I have some new double density
floppies I would like to format. How can I add that to
the format section?

By Double Density if you are referring to 2.88 MB you might want to take a
look here http://www.pcguide.com/ref/fdd/formatKB2880-c.html

XP does not have the capability to format as 2.88 MB You need a third party
app. You could try MaxFormat
http://www.topshareware.com/Alkonost-MaxFormat-download-3693.htm but I do
not know if it will help. But at least eh demo is free to try for up to 10
disks.
