I've already made a movie with Window's Movie Maker.(very
short movie) It was fun.
My question is on my other CD maker program it says I
have to format my CD's 1st before recording.(it comes
with a CD format program) Do I?
Windows doesn't say anything about formating a CD 1st.
(is this because they think I should already know the CD
should be formated 1st) ha-ha!
I need help. To format or not to format that is the
question!
I'm confused!

there is really no need to format a cd unless it's a used rewritable cd

Or if your program is trying to write to the cd using a Packet Writing
technique. Then it will need to be formated. XP doesn;t support packet
writing directly. 3rd party software is needed.

It depends on which type of blank CD's you are using. If they are CD/R
Disks, they do not require formatting. If they are CD/RW Disks they may
require formatting.

CD's only need to be formatted for use with packet writing software, like
Drag to Disk, Direct CD, InCD, etc. For your needs, formatting is not
necessary or desired.
