Original Fat 32 drive is now a second drive (named Old Drive D) Windows
was deleted off that old Drive D ...only the Program Files are still
there which I referenced when reinstalling software into the new drive
C: (which is partitioned into C: and E

The second step for directions has :
-if you're about to format a drive that has programs stored on it,
first uninstall the programs within Windows, and note that you'll have
to reinstall them after you're repartitioned the disk
Meanwhile the first step has just established that formatting removes
everything from the disk.
My intention was to clear the old drive by formatting it to be NTFS (to
use as a back up space or whatever) and rename it to be just D: I'm
just asking for confirmation on this action. I don't see the logic in
the instruction to uninstall the programs.
