Hello,
I would like to create a report with 2 columns and force the height of each
section so that it would look like the following:

Group Header the extends at least across the top of the first column, but
ideally across the whole page.
Detail 1 Detail 6
Detail 2 Detail 7
Detail 3 Detail 8
Detail 4 Detail 9
Detail 5 Detail 10

I have given the report 2 columns, but nothing forces the data to stop going
down at detail 5 and move up to the top of the next column.

If anyone has a suggestion, please respond.
Thanks,
Beth

If you want to limit the number of rows in the detail section, size
the Page Footer section height to whatever is needed to limit the
printing on the page. I'll guess at 5 to 6 inches on an 8 1/2" x 11"
paper depending upon the height of the Page Header and top and bottom
margins. Place whatever controls you want to print in the page footer
at the bottom of the page footer section.

You cannot have a group header span the size of the page if you are
using multi columns.

Size the report width to the full size of the paper, less margins.
In File + Page Setup + Columns, uncheck the Same as Detail check box.
Enter the wanted column width of the column manually.
Set the Display Layout to Down then Across.

Place the column header labels in the Page Header twice, one set over
the first column, the second set where you expect the second column to
show. Trial and error will give you the correct position for the
second column labels.

Thanks,
That worked perfectly.
