I have been writting a webpage and using Frontpage 2002.
I was having no problems using the software. I then had
problems with my computer which resulted in having to
reformat the harddrive. After this, I reinstalled
Frontpage 2002 with no problems. However, now I cannot
get into my website using Frontpage 2002 to either edit
or add new info. How do i reconfigure this software so
that I can be back updating my webpage again? Please
Help me

Contact your webhost and make sure that you have your login name and
password correct. Check out this simple solution first.

I have basically the same question, and I will not be much
help. Perhaps when you get help you will share with me.

I know this: You can Import from the web
(www.yourname.com). I look at my site with a browser and
everything looks OK, but what I download is only part of
my website. The navigation properties are all gone, some
of the graphics, some files, and text have disappeard. If
this is the best you can do, then you can put your web
back together, but work will be required. then you can re-
publish the new site.

There has got to be a better way, but the techs at my
server location are no help saying they don't know
anything about MS Front Page.

1. If the live site on the remote server has the FP extensions, then open
the site on the remote server directly in FP and publish back to your local
machine, importing only get the content that is seen by a browsers.

2. If the live site on the remote server does NOT have the FP extensions,
then you will need to use a FTP application download the entire site to a
folder on your HD, then open that folder directly in FP.
