Mike,
What is your purpose for formating the C:\ partition?
If you have an operating system on the machine and would like
replace/repair that install;
1. Boot to Windows cd.
2. Choose appropriate function. Install- to install/reinstall/repair
current operating system. Recovery- allows you to get dos prompt acces to
the current operating system root folder.
If you just want to clear the hard drive of all data you will need to
create a Windows boot disk that include the executable files, format and
fdisk.
