Format USB drive as FAT32

I need to format a usb drive as fat32 and the only option is NTFS in the
formatting app. Using Vista Home Basic.

Hi, i guess the option to format in Fat32 is not available in Vista because
it wont allow partitions above 32Gb to be formatted.
That doe`snt mean you cant its just the O/S restriction.
Im guessing your drive must be larger than 32Gb and its an external Hard
disk.
You need a third party formatting utility and i think this one will do.

GParted livecd,........... do a search and you will find it.

By using a boot cd you wont need to worry about software incompatibilities
in Vista.
Just be sure you format the right Drive !!!!!
