Format - theme

I made a birthday card and now the graphics and text are defaulted as "Format
- theme - no theme" so every new E-mail or Word document I open they are
there - all other themes have these graphics on top of them. How can I clear
this default Boo-Boo?
I am using Microsoft Word 2002 on XP
