How doyou save a finished movie product in a DV_AVI format??
How do I import the DV-AVI file to lets say windows media so that Nero can
acceess to burn a DVD?

I think you cannot use the DV-AVI format when you are saving movie to your
computer, this option will be available if your movie is saving into your DV
Camera.
I know nero can burn dvd using DV-AVI format movie, but if you cannot burn
this type of movie, perhaps use the new Nero 7 Premium... Download it at
www.nero.com.

Happy New Year!

Well that was what one person thought. The problem that I have is the
following. I have a finished product that is ready to be recorded on CD so
that it can be played on a regular DVD. The project shows that is is saved in
the movie maker file. I can not burn directly from that file. It seems that I
have to do something else to that file or project so the nero can access it.
Alot of my project file are in windows media player. The icons are that of
windows media player. The files that area also in windows media palyer that
nero can not access are the ones that show a "movie reel icon" I would think
that this is a compressed file and somehow it has to be converted. I can make
regular dvd using nero by accessing windows media player. I click on the
windows media player icon and it goes through the normal process of burn. The
"reel icons " are the ones that will not open. I such a beginner that you
will have to excuse me.

the movie reel icon would mean the file is associated with Movie Maker....
probably project files with a MSWMM extension. They only work in Movie
Maker...

Yes, you can save a movie as a DV-AVI file on your hard drive and use it in
DVD software, as long as the software can accept the type I DV-AVI files
that MM2 makes.... some don't and need the file converted to type II first.
