format HDD with Win2k

HELP! I have a Dell Latitude laptop with a 6GB HDD
running Win2k. I've got some glitches and the decision is
to completely reformat my HDD and reload my Win2k. I have
the reinstallation CD for Win2k for Dell, and I've made
the 3.5" FDD boot disks; WHAT DO I DO NEXT???? Holy
smokes this isn't simply typing FDISK at the prompt!!!!!
ANY and ALL guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks

boot from cdrom it will ask you if you want to format
