I need to reformat my HD or run System Recovery. I keep getting the dreaded
blue screen.

I want to know if there is a way I can save all my emails that I have not
deleted? I have all my contacts, saved emails, etc. that I need to be able
to save. Is there any type of file I can save to my jump drive that I can
reinstall once I get my sytem back up and running?

Which "dreaded blue screen"? There are several.

How do you tell which one you get? What info do I need to capture next time
so that I can let you know?

Thanks, Deidre

I hope this is the information you are referring to.

What do you mean by a forgot the blue? I cannot copy the actual color if
that is what you mean. But if you are referring to something else, please
advise so I can add this information.

Ahhhh.....went right over me head. (smile) Thanks for clearing that up
though. Can anyone tell me the best way to get rid of the blue screen?

Deidre

When Windows restarts it should notify you there was an error and it will
"check for solutions" after a blue screen. Sometimes that can give an
indication of the problem. Go to Windows Update and see if there are any
hardware updates for your system such as video or audio drivers. That could
fix the problem.
