Hello I have recently installed pre-RC1 on my Dell E1705. Now I want to
install RC1 over pre-RC1 but I want to install a clean clean copy of RC1 on
this computer so I went and restarted my computer so I can pick up a option
to format the partition. However, everytime I restart my computer and setup
my boot device configuration to CD/DVD disk, the option "Boot from CD/DVD"
does not come up at all. Just to make sure that my RC1 DVD is working fine I
try to install after logging into my user account and also try to reinstall
windows media center by restarting my computer and choosing boot
configuration. It works fine. I am not sure what the problem. If anyone is
familiar with this problem or have an answer to this problem. Please let me
know.

What you want to do isn't a supported upgrade path. I would do a clean
install period by formatting your drive. You shouldn' t need to set your
boot order in bios setup to anything special. If you burn the iso to DVD
it will boot anyway.

I'm not clear on what you mean here:

Just to make sure that my RC1 DVD is working fine I try to install after
logging into my user account and also try to reinstall windows media center
by restarting my computer and choosing boot configuration. It works fine.

Where are you going to chooe boot configuration? If it "works fine" what's
the problem?

Just to make sure your RC1 DVD works fine, why don't you do a CRC check of
it?

Well I dont have any option to format my drive. Please let me know if you
know any suggestion in order to do that.

In the part that was unclear, I was meant to say that I chose to install
vista automatically without restarting my computer and choose the boot
configuration part to format my hard drive. when I did install, it try to
install vista on the rest of the remaining part of my hard drive. What I
wanted to do is to format the hard drive clean and clear and then install RC1.
