'Format' function all of a sudden return errors

My Access database all of a sudden started generating
errors anytime I use the 'Format' function. This is new
behavior, as the same code properly functioned before.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why it would fail? When
used in VB, it comes back with a "Compile Error: Expected
variable or procedure, not module".
