hello!
I can't write format c:\ in dos. I've made a boot disk to
get into dos at startup, but when i write format c\
nothing happens. Can anyone help me out?

Hi,

That's because C:\ is probably using the NTFS file system. A dos boot floppy
cannot work with that file system. To format C:\, you should boot from the
WinXP CD and format as part of a new installation.

Why are you trying to do this and do you realize that formatting will result
in the loss of all data currently on C:\?

.
check your format system of your C drive when it is Fat
it must work when it is ntfs most common dos doe not
recognise so set boot from cdrom and format from a win
2000 or xp bootable cdrom
