Was your C-drive by any chance formatted in NTFS and your D or E drive
FAT32? In that case when you boot in DOS, your C-drive isn't
recognized, and DOS renames your first FAT-partition to C. Did you do
a dir c: before you formatted, so you know you formatted the right
disk?

you did no partitioning of the drive? and only 'c' was formatted? what does
fdisk say about the drive? 1 2 or 3 partitions?

Thanks Fredrik,
Unsure @ NTFS and/or Fat32. My bios is showing I have a primary master
of 20GB and a primary slave of 40 GB but that is the only place it is
showing.
I did not do a dir c: but am quite certain I got the right drive my NEW
C: is showing up as 19 GB in my computer.
ANy more ideas?
Thanks again,
JAn

he installed millinium (ME) so NTFS is out or at least maybe vise versa,
what operating system was loaded prior?

If you reboot to a DOS prompt are those 2 partitions (D & E) available
to you? Can you copy files on to them, set up directories, etc? If you
do:

Dir on each drive (d or E) is it able to tell you whats there and the
amount of space available?
