format c drive

Hi, would like to know if there is a link to site or if anyone can explain
how to reformat my hard drive and reinstall windows xp. I have the Dell
disc for reinstalling, have saved everything i need to save and am ready to
go. any help appreciated. thanks

Just pop the disk in the drive and bootup with it

follow the prompts
 
thanks, will this method clear the C drive as it is v full? From reading it
sounds as though it will only reinstall windows?

During the setup process you will be given the opportunity to format the
drive before the OS is installed. Just carefully read what's displayed
on the screen.

But how is she supposed to know that? And follow what instructions?
Better to use the relevant link already provided below for the purpose
than your vagueries and silliness. Also, following the wrong fork in the
instructions will be a lot less than a clean install.
