Hi to everybody, I have just enrolled in this forum and I hope that can help
me to you: I would like to stop at sight by XP and to do this I have to
format the disks. is the problem that SATA I have a disk and do I know that,
with XP, to format a HD of this kind needed to follow to a procedure what
time I don't remember... with vista how of I have to behave?
Excuse me if I have made some error: I am Italian and I am using a
translator...
thanks to all in advance

Andrew

Go to this computer, manage and then slect drive manager, from there right
click on your drive and select format.
It may not be the HD you started from that cannot be formatted this way, if
you want to format the bootdisk you have to start from the Windows CD (or
DVD) and select format the drive from there. (advanced options).

Buon Giorno, Andrea.

Assuming you don't need to install special drivers for your SATA controller
which might be what you were referring to as a special procedure with XP,
you should be able to format the boot drive from Vista DVD; run setup and
format during setup. If you need to install special drivers, there is a
prompt during setup that allows you to do so.
