I am fairly new to Access, especially with forms (mostly I just use tables
and queries). I am designing a data entry form with a subform. I would
like it to open the subform if the user checks the check box. I have four
check box fields that relate to four separate subforms.

How do I set up the form to open the appropriate subform based on the check
boxes?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Since you are new to Access, I would suggest an easier solution... one
that does not require any coding.
Place a Tab Control on your form, set up four Pages on that Tab Control,
and Copy and Paste a subform into each of the 4 tab pages. That way, a user
can just click the appropriate "tab name" to view whichever subform they
want to work with.
Much easier than coding for all the show/hide permutations involved in 4
subforms.
