Form with no confirmation page

First time here, and I did search around, but couldn't find my answer...

Is there a way to use a form, but not have a confirmation page? I'm
adding a email subscription to a newsletter, and the boss wants to limit
the extra pages and pop ups.

Thanks

Set it to use a custom confirmation page, and point it to whatever page you
want, such as the home page.

You must point the user to a page within your web after the form has been submitted or the default
confirmation page will appear when using the FP Form Handler.

Tom
thanks for the quick reply.
I tried that and I get the following message:

FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

I have the form in a shared border, is that the reason for the error? I
does work with the standard or custom confirmation page.

A form processed by the FP Form Handler will not work correctly within a shared border

The FrontPage form doesn't like being submitted to itself.

Honestly, I don't see the problem with the extra page. It is a good idea to
offer a thanks page or a custom page displaying the visitors input so it may
be printed.

oh, me neither. I like how you can pull info from the form into the
confirmation. Makes it more personal to the viewer.

My boss on the other hand doesn't (what do they know anyways)

What would the URL look like if after the form was submitted the user would
return to the sites home page?

Thanks
Ember

In the custom confirmation page, enter the name your home page or browse to it.

I thought I tried that last night and it too did not work. I will try again
tonight (it was past midnight).

Thanks!

To add the URL I would click on the adjoining "Browse" and it would take me
to my web site pages (and only there). I would then choose my confirmation
page file. That is it. I would then click "OK" and get the error message.

Remove all spaces from folder and file names.

Thank you for all the great suggestions. My confirmation pages now work
(they even have a bottom link bar so they can return to any page on the
site). Apparently I also had another issue that my forms were not being
directed to the correct .txt file to collect the data. On top of that, I was
only able to get the confirmation pages to work when I opend the live site
into FrontPage and change the form options there. It never took from the
local site.

Thanks again!
Ember
