Form suddenly quit working correctly

I have an Order Entry form/subform which suddenly stopped
working correctly after being in use for over two years.
No changes had been made. It's Access 2000 running on
Windows 98. The subform will no longer allow the user to
key into or select a product; it will only allow the entry
of a quantity. Since you can't enter a product, this
causes the "Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find a
record in the table 'Product Master' with key matching.."
error message. Has anyone seen this before? What caused
the problem and how do we fix it? Your help is greatly
appreciated!!!

I have seen something like this before - the database had been
corrupted by a power outage (presumably) occurring during a write
operation, and there were some very strange bad records in a couple of
Tables. After playing around with it briefly and getting nowhere (the
bad records wouldn't allow themselves to be deleted) we rolled back to
the most recent backup and reentered the (relatively small amount of)
data that had been put in since it was made.
