On my website I have a simple form set up to gather e mails, addressed and a
few other details.
At the moment the results are e mailed to me, but I would like to be able to
store the results in a spreadsheet or database on the webhosts server- that
would save me typing the details from the e mails into a contacts list.
Can anyone advise me what I need to do- I have already broken the FP
extensions once, and don't want to PI** off the webhosting company.
I read somewhere that I should ask them to make me a private folder on my
site, and set the form to store the details there?

Any help gratefully accepted,

Ian McLeish

Ian,

You can set that up on your own without the Hosting Service doing
anything. In your Options for your Form you can select it to send to a FILE
and an E-mail Address. Pick the location for the file to be saved. Also,
Don't forget your ADVANCED OPTIONS where you can dictate what type of file
is saved. It can be saved tab delimited for easy storage in a database
later on.

Good Luck,
Carl

Thanks Carl, got that working,
