Mike

I created a registration form in an FP page. A number of
people report the following error when they click the
submit button:

Cannot open "/usr/local/frontpage/we80.cnf": no such file
or folder

It looks as if it attempting to access the form on my PC,
but the form was created on the web server, not my PC, and
in fact the form does not now, nor has it ever existed on
my PC.
It also does not happen every time the form is submitted.

This error started accurring on a registration page
created by someone else, and I couldn't firgure out how to
correct the problem, so I re-creted the form from
scratch. A couple of the users who reported the problem
originally, were then successful in submitting the form.
But am now getting reports from others that they are now
experiencing the error.
Can't figure out what is going on...

The problem is on your host, not your local machine, so you need to contact
them.

Also the host must running Unix/Linux OS, as the self registration component
doesn't work under Windows IIS.

THANKS!!
A little confused though... Can you tell me why it it
seems to be an intermittent problem. If it is a host
problem, not running UNIX or LINUX, why does it not happen
every time the form is submitted?

Mike.

Actually if the host is running Windows IIS, it shouldn't work at all
anytime. Since it does work, then host is running Unix/Linux, but you need
to contact them to resolve this issue.
