I'm using FP2003 to attach to a local server MS Server 2000
with 2002FPE.
I have a form on one of my websites, and the form works fine
and mails the info to the correct e-mail account.
But when the person filling out the form hits the "submit" button
they get an error message even though the thing is working correctly.
Any ideas on what's going on, and how I can get rid of the error message?

Thanks for any help.

What's the error message? What's the URL so we can see it?

FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

Application Event Log is:

The Server error is Event ID 1000
Microsoft Front Page Server Extensions
(OS Error # 5 message: Access is denied)

What's the URL to the form so we can take a look? Are you writing the
results to a file as well as sending an email?

Have you contacted the web host to have them check what is in the server's log file?

Also have you tried creating new default feedback form directly on the live/remote server via FP and
see if it work correctly?

I tried your form twice
The first time I found the form action was
action="_derived/nortbots.htm" which sends the form results to an
ordinary .htm page which will do nothing with the data.
_derived/nortbots.htm is an error message, usually obtained when the
form has been FTPed to the server instead of published using FrontPage
HTTP method, though it can also occur if the extensions are not
correctly installed.

The second attempt, 2 minutes later, the action had changed, and the
form submitted without error.
