Form Not showing on 1st Tab??? HELP!

Before, when I have put tabs on a form, the form showed up on the first Tab,
with the subform on the additional tabs. I can't seem to make that happen
again. When I insert tabs, I just get big grey boxes, and I cannot see my
original form. What am I doing wrong??? HELP!!!!

I would suspect that the controls on the form are *behind* the tab
control.

You don't put a Form onto a tab page - you put a tab page onto a form,
and then put controls onto the tab page.

Try this: Expand the size of the form (offscreen, if need be) to twice
its current height. Drag the Tab Control down to the bottom. Do your
previous controls now show up?

If so, select them all (drag the mouse to make a rectangle around
them), cut them to the clipboard with Ctrl-X, select the first tab
page by clicking on the tab (not the surface of the page; the page
should darken indicating that it's been selected) and type Ctrl-V to
paste the controls onto the page.

Then select a second page, and insert your subform or other controls.

OK, I must really be missing something...and I thought I knew Access! When
you ask if my previous control show up...what should I be looking for to see
my previous controls?? I see the controls for the subforms/tabs...but I
don't see anything for the original form.

If there were any controls on the form before you added the TabControl they
are now either on one of the pages or they are *behind* the entire
TabControl. Have you tried moving it while in design view to see if there
are any controls hidden behind it?

Now I'm lost.

When you add a Tab Control to a form it starts out an empty set of
pages. I've never had "the form show up on the first Tab". And when
I've inserted tab controls, I've never had other controls disappear.

Please indicate what actions you took and what happened when you did
so.
