Does anyone know why, or how I can prevent, my forms from getting
corrupted.

This is a problem that just started recently but now I can't get to
stop. I find that often when I make changes to an existing form it
will become corrupted. It doesn't do it every time and certainly
seems to be linked to when I copy controls onto the form or even add
new controls. Deleting control labels plays a part too.

What happens is that I get a message that says "Microsoft Access has
experienced an error and must shut down....gives me an option to
repair." But then when I open the mdb file again and try to open the
form, nothing happens. I can't even get into design view of it.

I've resorted to making a copy of the form before I make any changes
to it and then saving after every change.

I've had this database for a few years now and only recently been
getting the error. Now I can't get it to stop.

I've compacted and repaired many times.

Any suggestions?

What version of Access are you using? Be sure you have ALL the available
Office service packs and hotfixes (2007 has been notorious for this kind of
problem).

Then check

for some in-depth advice on Access corruption.
