Hi All,

This may be a little off subject. I have a form I use, and would like to
dress up a single button to be used by a single user. I can taylor the
font, However, I can not figure out how to change the background color -
without of course also changing the color for the whole environment (note -
buttons are the same color as the native windows environment). I haven't
asked in the "office" newsgroups because this seems more like something that
I'll need a tool for. So thats it, so Thanks in advance for the help.

Access has nothing built-in to allow for changes in the command button
backcolor. There are some third-party tools that may help:

A shareware version of Button Painter for MS Access is available at this web
site: http://www.peterssoftware.com/bp.htm

Some simple colored button examples that can be copied into your application
are available at: http://www.peterssoftware.com/clrbtn.htm

Stephen Lebans has an example database that shows how to set a command
button back color and more: http://www.lebans.com/cmdbutton.htm

There's a nice "Color Command Buttons" download at this site:
http://www.candace-tripp.com/access_downloads.htm

Hope this helps,

Until your question, I did not realize this was difficult to
accomplish. I think another solution might be to make a small bitmap
image such as a colored rectangle and pasting it in the button by
selecting "add picture".
