I have a form for editing recomrds with a combo box in the
header which displays records in the detail section which
can be changed.

One one oomputer (at one office), the forms works as
expected..... selecting a new item in the combo box
results in redisplay of the appropriate record in the
details. When I email the file to my other office and
open the database, the form does not work correctly. The
detail section does not refresh when the selection in the
combo box is changed.

Both computers are running Access 2000 under Windows
2000. The installations, to my knowledge were similar.

There must be something set differently from computer to
computer, but I have no idea what that might be. Does
anyone have any clue as to why the exact same database
would behave differently on two different computers
running the same versions of Access and Windows?

thanks,
Jill Blackmer

Hi Jill,

What method do you use to move record from a combox box selection? Do you
use one of the four methods described in the article below?

How about upgrade MDAC to 2.7 SP1 on your client computer?
